To ensure a smooth roll-out of the project on University of Virginia's tight timeline, we provided functional and technical consultants to assist and expedite in the delivery of the solution.
University of Virginia Health System
Based in Charlottesville, Va., the University of Virginia Health System embodies the leadership and inventiveness personified by its founder, Thomas Jefferson. In 1825, Jefferson established the nation’s 10th medical school, which has since grown into a nationally renowned academic medical center committed to providing outstanding patient care, educating tomorrow’s health care leaders and discovering betters ways to treat disease.
The University of Virginia Medical Center is an integrated network of primary and specialty care services ranging from wellness programs and routine checkups to the most technologically advanced care. The hub of the Medical Center is a hospital with over 500 beds in operation and a state-designated Level 1 trauma center. In addition, primary and specialty care is provided at convenient clinic locations throughout Central Virginia communities.
The Challenge
In an effort to more comprehensively utilize PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM v9 functionality and deliver a more robust HCM system, UVA Health System is upgrading from HCM v8.3 to HCM v9. In addition, UVA Health System plans to leverage this upgrade to enable the implementation of additional PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM modules.
The Solution
UVA Health System is leveraging Collaborative Solutions Upgrade Services for PeopleSoft Enterprise. The scope of the applications being upgraded in November 2008 include HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor, Recruiting Solutions and Employee/Manager Self Service. The upgrade approach utilized a blended delivery model leveraging onsite, lab-based and remote upgrade services. In addition, UVA is planning to fully embrace enhancements delivered with the application to further reduce existing levels of customization.
The Results
In order to successfully meet the customer’s timeline, Collaborative Solutions provided functional and technical consultants that played key roles during the fit/gap, testing and training phases of the project lifecycle, including functional design/configuration, security design and development, integration testing assistance and training materials development and delivery.
The entire Collaborative Solutions team was consistently top-notch and singularly focused on our success.
